Horizon Educational/H2GP Foundation were delighted to launch the H2GP in France last weekend, with 5 school teams taking part in a pilot race designed to showcase the educational program in new regions. The winner was ‘HydroTeam’ who used all the science and engineering concepts they built up over the 6-month program to test their self-built hydrogen car over a 4 hour ‘endurance race’. The team now have the prospect of travelling to California for the H2GP World Final to test their clean energy engineering skills against the best schools worldwide.

“We’re ecstatic about the prospect of bringing clean energy education to even more communities across Europe this coming year,” said Nicola Weiss, Executive Director of the H2GP Foundation. “I’ve witnessed the potential of H2GP to empower future clean energy leaders across the United States, and we’re excited to bring this sense of possibility to even more students than ever before”.

So far races have taken place this year in Chicago and California, with future events planned for Switzerland, Slovakia, Australia, Holland, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Scotland, Singapore and Chile.
